Nano-archimedes

morreale Tuesday 13 of August, 2013
nano-archimedes is a CAD tool for simulating electron transport in nanodevices. It was developed as a collaboration between the Institute of Microelectronics, Vienna University of Technology, and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

super-black nanotechnologies

morreale Tuesday 13 of August, 2013
Researchers at NASA have developed a new technology to replace paint in instrument that is super-black. This super-black coating reduces reflections in telescopes and improves the sensitivity of the telescope. Carbon nanotubes are grown on alumina using a Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) process and iron oxide nanoparticles act as a catalyst for the carbon nanotube growth.
