The Flash Center for Computational Science at the University of Chicago has developed a publicly available multiphysics multiscale simulation code called FLASH. This program can be used to simulate High-Energy Density Physics (HEDP) and Supernovae. The center has produces a bunch very cool moives of simulations of gravitational detonations.
